Nextra Chermside Crowned Australia’s No. 1 Newsagent

Our family business at Westfield Chermside has taken home the industry’s top award of “Australian Newsagent of the Year” for 2014. Over the last four years, our three stores at have won six other esteemed titles:

Australian Newsagent of the Year 2012

Yesterday evening at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne, Nextra Chermside Newsagency was awarded the esteemed title of Australian Newsagent of the Year. In addition to the state and national recognition by the Australian Newsagents’ Federation, this is the second time the team at Chermside has won the prestigious award by ACP Magazines in as many years.

On the night, Store Manager, Shannon Hickey, expressed that he is “so proud of our enthusiastic team who work closely with our suppliers to offer excellent products and unrivalled customer service to our community”.

Congratulations to the other finalists and on behalf of all contestants in the competition, we thank ACP Magazines for supporting the Australian newsagency industry.

National Newsagent of the Year Trophy

It is with great pride that we announce our most recent accomplishment – Nextra Chermside Newsagency has been recognised as the 2012 National Newsagent of the Year by the Australian Newsagents’ Federation. The team is thrilled with this outcome which is the result of the hard work and dedication of our excellent staff, the support of our loyal customers and the encouragement of our valued business partners.
